Stream Energy Expands Into Delaware

Stream Energy has recently revealed it’s official launch their energy services, along with other services, into the state of Delaware. This is their second energy expansion in 2017, and the eighth market that they have expanded into since their founding. At launch, customers can choose from Stream Energy’s six-month fixed-rate plan for two percent below the incumbent or the twelve-month fixed-rate energy plan at competitive market pricing.

Stream Energy was founded in 2005, in Dallas, Texas, by Rob Snyder and Pierre Koshajki. This founding happened after the deregulation of the Texas electricity market, which allowed new competitors to enter the market. Stream Energy has had steady expansion since it’s 2005 founding, and with the expansion into Delaware, the company is now operating in Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Maryland, and Illinois, plus Washington, D.C.

The company is known for its green energy initiatives and programs (http://releasefact.com/2017/11/stream-energy/). Since their start, Stream Energy has recognized the dangers of climate change and global warming. In 2016, the company began to offer an energy plan that allowed customers the ability to purchase “clean energy” instead of energy produced from fossil fuels. Before the addition of this new plan, Stream Energy offered the ability to purchase renewable energy certificates, which ensured that their energy came from clean sources. On top of these green energy plans, the company also helps conserve water by offering customers with an intelligent sprinkler controller. This helps cut down on water usage, ensuring less water is wasted.

Stream Energy isn’t just focused on green energy or energy in general (DailyForexReport). Just as it is expanding services into other states and territories, Stream Energy has also expanded the types of services that it offers. In 2014, Stream Protective Services was launched, which offered a variety of services that would help protect customers from misfortune, including roadside assistance and Virtual MD. Later, in 2015, Stream Energy launched Wireless Services. Stream Energy is a company of expansion, and have expanded both the markets they serve and the services they offer consistently since their founding.
